SPROUTING SEEDS
Sprouts are nutritious, high in protein and vitamins. Growing them gives us a measure of self-sufficiency and is an inexpensive way to have fresh food all year long. They can be added to soups or salads. There are a lot of good resources on growing sprouts. I particularly like the books by Gabriel Cousens. He has a raw food spa in Arizona. He explains everything you'd want to know.
FENUGREEK
One of my favorite a little spicy and delicious.
SUNFLOWER
These I grow in organic potting soil in a tray. Well worth the effort. They get a few inches long and the leaves themselves are about an inch across.
